A 30-year-old woman "of foreign
origin" was mauled to death by dogs in the garden of a friend's
house outside Latina south of Rome Monday, local sources said.
Last week, the same dogs attacked another woman and the owner of
the house.
Police officers from Latina police station intervened on the
scene and attempted to scare the dogs away by firing a gunshot.
The woman was transported by ambulance to the local Santa Maria
Goretti hospital but died a few hours later due to the serious
injuries she had sustained.
